I'd agree with this, so far 100% success rate with the pass through type connectors, I tried one with the plastic block and only 7 out of 8 tested on the cable tester.

The people Vodafone sent round to install by fibre had no problems installing my fibre link wherever I wanted as long as it was on an outside wall. I opted for a short distance but there would have been no extra charge for going all the way around and installing on the other side of the flat.
