Hardy Warning

Have to say that I've had no problems with Hardy on a laptop and two desktops and think it's wrong to offer your experiences as a warning to others where the majority perhaps don't share your problems.

Restricted drivers worked fine for me. Multimedia codecs work very well. Package management seems concrete... Head over to ubuntu forums and gauge your experiences against the masses.

The release as of last week is final, not a release candidate.

Been using Hardy since Alpha6, and I haven't experienced a single issue.

Select "Skyrocket" as your screensaver and select it to activate pretty quick so your not waiting around long.

Then let us know if it freezes up. And if it does.. Whats the video card etc your using, Please.

edit - works OK here... although my fans kicked in and are pretty noisy when it's running.

I'm running Xubuntu 64-bit, by the way.... so maybe that's helping me. Hardware wise, I've got an 8800GT 512MB Ram, on an E2200 OC'ed to 3GHz with 4GB DDR2. (ooh, I almost sound like I'm willy-waving)
