Noticed in the software that you can control lights?

Could anyone give me a bit of info on this, is it simply a case of replacing the light switch and programming the remote?

Just for the switch?

You can get the switch and a remote for 25 quid from a competitor!

Would be cheaper to get that and bin the remote.

Any learning remote will learn codes from remote control dimmer, as long as the IR codes aren't toggle bit. Use a £25 remote dimmer with URC-850.

Although I think the Harmony remotes are pants. Cheap, but pants.

Well its all I can afford im afraid, cant keep up with your standards and does the job plenty fine :)

Looks like I will probably end up buying the kit for 25 squid!

Weve got those in the house, and its a case of remove old one and wire the new one, my harmony 555 works brilliantly with em.

Be aware that B&Q (I don't believe they're OCUK competitors) sell remote light switches for all of £25. I've been using them for a few years now. Wonderful replacement, very cheap and learns from any remote you use. Also dimmable.

B&Q's are manufactured by varilight which are the same ones available from TLC direct at the fraction of the cost for future lighting plans :)
