Harriet Harman.

So you're not a fan then ?

Who better a candidate than Harriet for the board of OcUK as Diversity Director ?

Good grief ... I would have sleepless nights if I paid her wage, which I sort of do now. * shudders *

Ooh that reminds me of something which I've always wondered.

Do social servants (and all people who are paid directly by a government body) pay income tax?

Civil servants most definitely do, what made you think that they might be exempt?

Although a Crown employee, I am technically paid by government and I am very sure that I pay it.

So the government pays them money and then takes some of it back, and in doing so loses some to paper-pushers. That seems massively illogical to me.

Miss Harman is now attacking the BBC for ageism.

Link.

Does anyone else find this woman uttely odious with a frightening ignorance of real problems and issues that face the UK ?

War, poverty, recession, Afghanistan, social issues ..... the list goes on for problems that warrant attention and effort and she fannies on over ageism.

I truly hope she is the first Labour MP dumped on her arse at the next General Election.

Thoughts ?

My thoughts are your bang on the money, alas, she is representative of a lot of our current government.

#1 for me has to be Brown though.

Well there's illogical and there's just plain and blatantly stupid. I mean they do a lot of things which a lot of people would have a think about and come to the conclusion that they're daft. This, however, I just can't see any reason for.

Whoever said that the government wasn't blatantly stupid ?

Harriet Harman is a moron, with absolutely no concept of the real world. For a politician she seems oblivious to the idea that TV companies do what the majority wants, and she also seems oblivious to the idea that equality means treating people equally...

Because they can tax you more than once, and then get extra money out of you. The money that's paid into our pension funds is taxed. Then once we retire, our pensions are then taxed again, as well as a lump sum, which taxed. So a nice triple whamy of tax on our pensions. Never mind other things which they can tax besides our wage.

So apart from her Dolph, Labour can count on your vote this year ?

;)

She goes on and on about equality for women esp in the workplace. Why ? - Because she is a woman in the workplace

Now she goes on about ageism, again esp in the workplace. Why ? Because she is getting old herself.

She aint interested in bettering any situation unless it benefits her directly IMHO.

Everything that woman says is ridiculous. I can still remember the nonsense she came out of with when Gordon Brown was on holiday. The irony is she is probably the highest profile female politician in the country at the moment, and as a figurehead is making them look pretty pathetic.

Yes

So I suspect the HMCR do have to file a PAYE return (then probably even pay to post it to themselves.).
