Harry Potter Tickets

Hows this two parter situation going to work then. I'd expect it all in one and then the play can run until those Potters run out of cash or get bored of it - but that could be years (think about some of the long running musicals). By splitting it in two they can only run Part1 for a set amount of time before moving onto Part2.

Seems a bit of an odd business decision to me

they do part one and part two on the same day pretty much, unless you chose otherwise

So I finally saw this yesterday and thought it was brilliant - so funny to hear the collective shock gasps from hundreds of children and adults (including me) :D

Definitely worth going to but would be a bit confusing if you hadn't seen / read the films / book. Very funny in places too.

To avoid spreading spoilers... my only further comment is wtf with the pronunciation of Voldemort (it's not a spoilerr to say his name comes up)! It's VoldernorE apparently. Not sure why JK didn't decide to correct this in the films but there we go.

saw part one last week and off to part 2 on Friday. Bloomin marvelous! The only downer is that i cant understand why they made hermione black. I was expecting some sort of explanation but even her child version was black so that was that. the rest of the cast are spot on though with the standouts for me being the Malfoys.

** If you haven't seen the stage show.. I'd consider that a spoiler - EVH **

Production values are through the roof though and the wibbly wobbly effect when the time tuner kicks off was pretty impressive for a stage show.

It didn't really bother me that she was black - she seemed to retail all the personality traits. It suppose it was an odd choice when presumably they could have picked a 'more obvious white actor though.

My brother questioned this also, to which I replied "fnar... it never expressly says she is white". He then trumped me with "... two black parents that are dentists... really?!" - good point :o

You must have been in the same show as me then! I too thought it was great, despite being right up in the clouds seating wise!
The effects were fantastic, and like someone else mentioned, the "wibbly wobbly" effect was amazing!

It should be pronounced Vol-de-Mor with the 'T' silent, it's French for Flight of death.

I think it crept into the first film, which once released they couldn't really go back on so had to leave the pronunciation as it was.

Please note that we reserve the right to refuse admission to customers with tickets purchased on re-sale websites. It'd be a bugger if you did get caught :p

Wish more concerts etc had and enforced these rules, the second hand ticket market has pretty much ruined the gig experience for me as I know that if I want to see anyone big 75% of the tickets will land up on seat wave or what ever massively over priced.

I waited exactly 4 hours to get to number 1 in the queue, and was then told all tickets had been sold  :(. I could queue again for a limited number of tickets from another agent, but there were already 86,000 in the queue .
