Hmm rather than loading all your images automatically why not have them in a gallery format with a lightbox or other style image opening system?

The site has potential but I'm not even sure what your selling?, what the site is for? What the pictures refer to? Basically from a person who knows nothing about art design I cannot see what the site is about
Can you design websites? Is that what your site is saying?
I also seriously struggle to read the dark grey text against the black background.
As I say your site has the potential it just needs more description to backup your pictures.

Might be worth having the about bit to explain a bit about yourself/your work on the frontpage.

it's a good point. perhaps the words "selected work of" before the name will help as the title says it but if people can't see the title then this will be there to back it up.

I really don't want to be critical to the guy, so I apologies If I haven't worded my posts very friendly!
Looks fine to me (in Firefox on windows xp, for what it's worth). Only real critique is I'd add some image, or something, to the "about" page. Other than this it's perfectly fine

Thanks for the criticisms guys, regardless of what's said I do take everything onboard and I'm more than happy to hear everyone's thoughts.
The dark grey text looks perfectly fine on both my TFT and laptop, what kind of monitor are you using? I may lighten it up a little to be universally viewable!
It is a basic portfolio but I do agree, there is no selling of myself or any pursuit of further business or freelance work which is getting at me slightly because it's what I'm aiming to achieve. However, I don't quite know how to go about it.

Mehh, business is business. Every freelancer has the same thing to say, so it's just about how pretty you manage to say it.

i agree. i used to think the same thing but quickly realised that the reason people say it is not because everyone else does but because it is true or because it works. another example is i never used to like when sites make key words in sentences bold, now i can't get enough of them. there is good reason to being different to everyone else but also many good reasons to doing the same.
