Has Amazon Prime gone up to £95 ?

Was shocked at first but next or same-day delivery on a load of stuff and the odd thing on Video makes it worthwwhile -(The Covenant is a great film thats on there atm!)

Same, as you say the video service can get some big hitters, recently The Covenant, The Whale, Bones and All, they seem to get very new movies added quite frequently. £95 seems a lot, but over the year it’s still reasonable.

My Amazon order history is quite somthing. I have parcels coming most days

Sunday we had a new BBQ delivered, yesterday was some plastic mounts I needed, today are new boxer shorts and cushions for our garden sofa

When you live in a city with almost zero shops, Amazon is a blessing! It's always cheaper than anywhere else to.

Just looking for a pair of sunglasses at the minute for an upcoming holiday. No idea if Amazon sell the ones I want, but I'll be checking.

I also stumbled across some fantastic t-shirts and socks from someone called Charles Wilson. Great quality at a good price!

I don't know why people use Amazon any more. Just about everything I want these days is massively more expensive on Amazon than most other online retailers.

They typically have better stock levels than physical shops though. Case in point a couple of months ago I was after a replacement coffee pod machine. Had gone into currys and every model I was looking at was sold out. Had checked Argos and places like Tesco/Asda and no joy either. Looked on Amazon, same price as in shops but had stock of every model I was looking at. Also delivery for next day, should have just ordered on there in the first place and saved the faff.

Yep I get that a lot from physical shops. Often sold out and "can't get hold of" X item. Yet Amazon and eBay have pages of them available.

I've been a prime subscriber since 2010, the amount of stuff i buy from there that has free next or same day delivery is quite high so have had value for money but i'm not sure i'll be a prime member next year as i intend to cut back on my purchases in general for a while to save up and i very rarely watch anything on prime.

I have a high opinion of Amazon. In 2021 I bought a vr headset from there for around £1200, it developed a fault after 6 months. I contacted the manufacturer as I had a 1 year guarantee with them but they were useless, they just fobbed me off. They are based in China so not much I could do. I then contacted Amazon and explained the situation, they refunded me. Ok they were probably required to do this by law but they helped out when the usual method failed and acted quickly (1 ten minute phonecall did it).

Rarely the case for me when you include postage.
As an example, I bought some Victorinox stuff recently.
Victorinox wanted £62, plus postage.
Amazon wanted £49, with the option of free postage or AP trial.
Most other shops I use wanted, at most, £36, including postage from overseas. I ended up getting what I wanted for £25.

They typically have better stock levels than physical shops though.
They are often out of stock (and don't know when they'll be getting them back in, if at all) on some things I want, but more typically they don't carry the exact models in the first place.
The example above was a rarity, and then only because it was a Marketplace seller, rather than Amazon themselves.
Even with the plethora of cheap mobile phone junk and gadgets, I find places like Halfords and "CheapPhoneJunk.com" websites usually have significantly lower prices.

I got the free trial yesterday as needed a gadget quickly and as it was just less than 25 quid, thought why not, it's free etc.

Swear this is about the 3rd free trial month I have had though on the same account.

Doesn't make much sense.
