I've looked on a certain website to buy the game, but it has really bad reviews.. There is nothing wrong with the game, but people are saying that Origin is really crap and they have had a lot of problems with it..

What has your experience been with it?

I have had no problem, I think the amazon reviewers are just tin foil hat wearers who think origin is some sign of the apocalypse.

Well I've had the occasional crash, but I think all those reviews are just about ea monitoring our every move and such...which is rubbish.

Either im lucky or everyone else is unlucky because i pre-ordered from origin, downloaded it and have been playing it fine with no problems what so ever.

I've had to disable network discovery/file sharing to get it to connect to servers, but other than that it runs OK.

Origin much to my surprise has been completely fine, I actually quite like it.

Crashes, I have a GTX 570, with settings on high it lasts minutes and the card gets very, very hot. I've had to put the settings to a more medium level but its been reliable since doing so and still looks very good.

I should add that the games fantastic!

Do not believe everything you read on the internet. As usual, people are quick to moan when things don't go quite right but many do not say anything when it works as expected. I swear most of these problems highlighted are pebkac.

I had issues with the game stuttering when I first installed it. I would play, get silky smooth graphics for 10 seconds or so then it would go into 3 or 4 seconds of stuttering, which was very annoying. I did a full Windows 7 reinstall and now it works fine and I suspect my issues were down to having a mash up of ATI graphics drivers. It is rare I get any problems with PC games, I'm the guy who sits there wondering why people spend pages and pages providing options such as turning off this or that, many obvious madness when I simply install it and it works time and time again. It seems most issues (of a techy nature) ARE configuration problems and it was the case with me with this game. Nature of the PC platform is that it will virtually always be the case, obvious when half the world has zero issue and half has problems. Not saying it's perfect mind, I'm sure there will be holes that will need plugging.

Downloaded from Origin and has worked very well. Only problems I have had is with servers no pinging which was fixed when I restarted the browser. Also somtimes I just cant connect to the server all I get is thta flashing white box in the bottom red hand corner.

On the whole a good release with only minor niggles.

bought on origin and works well for match or 2 then always get timed out.love the game when i can play but time out's are getting v annoying now.can't seem to find a fix for it either..

played beta and no problems at all. pre ordered on origin and pre installed perfectly. time of release couldn't get game to activate, waitied till next morning because i guessed the servers were getting hammered, next morning same so looked for solution, got game to activate and enjoyed for a couple of days lag free

lag set in, started looking at what origin was doing and where it was connecting (uploading data to amazon.com) to wasn't happy but nothing of value to them on this computer so waited a few days for a patch to cure lag, nada nothing looks like the devs took the weekend off, got ****ed off opened live EA chat demanded a refund was screwed around a bit but once they realized i wasn't going away they refunded me. uninstalled that god damn horrible pos called origin.

you'd think if they were going to get people to install that rubbish they'd get it working first, that's EA all over for you though isnt it.

exellent game shame about that pos.

i wouldn't let any of the stories you read online put you off tbh, mmos and their scrub Gm's have been doing exactly what the scaremongerers are saying for years.

buy on origin and if you can't get it to work demand your money back.

I haven't had a single issue with the game, been playing it right through from the Alpha to Release.

I played the entire campaign without issue, and put some 20 hours in to multiplayer without any issues.

The only minor hiccups would be not connecting to servers on a very rare occasion.

Only problem I've encountered is the HUGE amount of negative acceleration which a lot of people also seem to get. Doesn't make it unplayable, but it's highly frustrating when you go to do a quick turn and move about an inch. :/

Origin has been fine. Battlelog on the other hand has been annoying as hell. Combine that with the BF3.exe crashes and it can be a frustrating game.

i had this and fixed it by disabling upnp in my router settings, had to find the ip of my router, put it into the browser address bar and enter the username and password when prompted, will then give you your router settings and should be an option to disable it, just disabling it in windows didn't work for me. If you cant find the ip etc of your router online, call your service provider or the manufacturer of the router.

Co-op works fine when i jump on with a mate. Random matchmaking usually has the other person quitting before it starts though.

I reinstalled the the game....twice. 1st wouldnt download updates and 2nd time the game wouldnt launch as battlelog said i needed to install the game. Since then i can play coop matchmaking but the game still exits when playing with a mate.
