Has anyone else ?

If games never pushed topend hardware we wouldn't get new hardware so you saying you got a gtx and all the games from now onwards must be maxed out by your gtx the game wouldn't never progress and all look the same not not have higher spec for hardware.
So any future game you cannot max out with your gtx you not buying?.

The thing is though Crysis gameplay is very good but people tend to be overlooking that which is a shame.

Don't be such a pansy, do you play games to look at the graphics, or do you actually play the game?

I'm sure it still looks very good even if you can't run it on uber super dooper maximum settings.

Ive just spent a fortune, to play this very game ? Am i not allowed to be annoyed ?!

nope.

you spent a fortune, and can play the game. you don't know you can't play at top settings yet, and even if you can't you aren't far off.

fear, soft shadows, killed performance few cards gave good performance on release with soft shadows enabled, very few people liked the effect and most played without it on because it ran better AND looked better.

have you played with every setting, do you know for a fact that new drivers before the release of full game won't up performane a lot? do you know that if you drop one setting, that might make almost no difference to IQ performance will increase loads?

does the game not look better than anything else around on high settings anyway?

you could be annoyed if high settings ran at 10fps, and it looked worse than HL2. it doesn't, it looks massively massively better than HL2, and ep 1, ep 2 and it takes more power to do so.

how often have u bought the latest graphics card then had to wait for games to be released that can put the cards to the test ?

isnt it nice to have a game that can test your state of the art rig then test it again when you upgrade ? rather than wait 6-12 months for games to be released that need that much power.
