Has anyone here worked in collections for a mobile provider?

I've worked in debt collection for close to a year now and I was recently looking for a new role within the industry and I randomly got an email from the Vodafone resource team (Think they got my CV from reed) asking me to apply for the collections position that they had available.

My question is; how aggressive are collections techniques within the tele-comms industry? The position at Vodafone is all call centre based but I'm concerned that targets are going to be exceptionally high compared to what I'm used to currently within the consumer collections industry. The starting basic salary they advised is much higher than what I'm currently on so that's a bonus.

It would also be nice to hear from someone who has just worked a Vodafone in general and would like to share their experience.

Cheers

If it's anything like Orange (a few mates worked for Orange) I'd give them a wide berth.

They didn't work collections, but everyone of them hated the job.

Not really. They will not be paying you more money because they want someone to be nice to debtors, they will expect a bigger return on your salary.
Comms is quite competitive because everyone has basically the same product. If they are anything like Cauldwell, everyone will be a grade A ****hole.
