Has Anyone Noticed Broadband Prices Have Come Down?

You expect Customer Services to understand that?

Yes, you would be better off with a service that has technical help that actually understands things other than "I want to renew my contract".
Technical support for a business package, I thought they'd be able to. Second attempt they even patched up my router remotely but knew that wouldn't resolve it however as I had already tried a spare router carrying out my own diagnosis. Anyway, I can't imagine I was the only customer with that issue.

Was with them for over 4 years and was pretty good mostly until recently.

In fairness this is the first you've mentioned of it being a business plan, and also if FTTP is available then it's not the worst idea in the world to move to it. Contract discussions aside, even if it doesn't solve the issue it's ruled out the physical network as a factor and got you off a service that is closing down soon.

I realised I didn't previously mention it being a business plan, wasn't being critical of the previous reply or anything:) .
I have initiated a move to FTTP but away from VF as didn't have a great deal of confidence in it being resolved permanently by the move while staying with VF, but I don't understand the differences (BTOpenworld FTTC vs CityFibre) in relation to such an issue. If it's something under VF's control (throttling/network shaping/routing or whatever), would it be an issue later for example?

Aquiss seems to be very out of date with their pricing. They are still charging last years prices.
A touch high perhaps, but I'm still with them as I also value a static IPv4 address + a static /56 IPv6 delegation, as well as not having to deal with any ISP equipment - they just make my ONT live and I do as I please. Not like having a VM Hub which I believe the later ones still have issues running in modem-only mode leading to double-NATing etc (though I could be wrong)
