Has anyone seen undercover operation before?

As mentioned above not undercover if someone is observing for ages, more a stakeout/intelligence... My mum used to sell illicit plant based substances from her council flat in the 80s/early 90s, and eventually police installed a couple of guys in a flat opposite to observe comings and goings. This was eventually enough to cause them to try and "raid" her, but the door battering gadget didn't work. Nice solid door! She tutted and told them they should've knocked (they still barged in with guns IIRC). Pretty sure the two dents are still in her front door

I knew a guy who was selling coke to an undercover for nearly a year until they threw him in jail. The cop was good, I didn't clock at all.

My mum had a customer who was a copper but I'm fairly confident he wasn't undercover, he'd hang around for a smoke in uniform!

• Drove past a large yard once, and looking down into it there were about 15 police officers all lying flat on the ground. Just round the corner there were a bunch of cars too. You couldn't really see into the yard fom any other angle, presume they were waiting to jump out and ambush someone, maybe with the intent of driving the cars out to block the road and then rush someone with all the officers? Seemed like an odd setup for doing that though, no idea what was actually going on.

Are you sure these weren’t just speed bumps? They certainly used to be called Sleeping Policemen

Back in the early 90's I let a bunch of undercover detectives use our spare bedroom to keep an eye on the village post office that they suspected may be subject to an armed robbery. It was comical seeing how basic/obvious it all was, and funnier when the armed police turned up, trying to squeeze in to this tiny room.. we tidied the guest bedroom up and gave them a bed-settee, kettle and some other things to help, in total we had around 6-8 people at a time.. I did think they way they where just looking out the window would be easy to spot outside and surely would scare off any vigilant wrong do'er..
