Ever had any goods damaged in transit? I have anxiously waited a week for my rig and when it has arrived inside the case the big Asaka Nero heatsink has fell off the board and crashed right on top of my GTX285 card!
The system now just bleeps and restarts over and over again!
Gutted!

My LC 17 case had a huge bash on the front when I received it. The shop was great it sorting it out though (Not ocuk so can't elaborate)

Yeh I reckon OCuk will be good tbh as I have dealt with them before but then again I have never had any problems before. As I said in my other post its a real shame as I reckon OCuk have taken the time to send a good build but the box has been knocked about over the weekend in transit, it was sent on Saturday morning. The only other explanation would be that the plastic plugs were not turned onto its bayonet latching to clamp them in on the board but I know that and have not built many systems like that so I am sure OCuk know perfectly well how they work and all the rest is spot on so I dont think it is the system builder at fault here, I only ever buy from Overclockers or ,y mates shop but even then he says "You might as well order from Overclockers for this as I cannot beat his price!".
I am just gutted and worried about the outcome now as even if they fix it I dont really want the same card back after its been damaged like that!!
I have always rated the customer service so I reckon they will be cool about it

They have a process for goods damaged in transit, just give them a call about it.

I'm pretty sure you will get another (different) card as opposed to a repair. Your card may well be fixed and put up as b-grade on the website rather than you getting it back...

Hi

If you post in the customer services section, or give them a ring/webnote i'm sure they'll get it sorted ASAP.

Wow, bummer Gabe.
Cant say I've ever had anything trashed in delivery before (knocks on wood and crosses fingers) but then I always build my own.
Im sure the guys at OCUK will get it all sorted for you ASAP though :D

Yeh they have taken it back already, within two hours from calling them they had picked it up which was good! They promised me another full build as I dont want that one now as I would have no piece of mind using it.

When I got it I could hear two screws rolling around on the bottom of the case and then when I open it up theres this massive 'asaka nero' heatsink with all its fins bent (Which I tried to bend back) fell right off the mobo and crashed right onto my new GTX285's back board thats exposed! It was just hanging on its power cable! Now I dont want that system back, I have paid a grand for this rig so I really I wanted to swap it at the door with another one but they wouldnt do that, I just hope I dont get the same system back cos I will know if its the same!

I must say though if what I have been promised happens exactly how they said it would then the service is excellent, I tell them theres a fault and within 2 hours the product is picked up and they reckon I will get a new build back by the end of the week! IF that happens then thats really really good and I will always have piece of mind buying from Overclockers again, mind you I generally always buy from them anyway but I have never had any problems before to see how they deal with them! Then again I have always only ever bought parts before as opposed to a full system like this time.

I work in IT for a busy hospital and we have all agreed that IF they do as they promised (Which some reckon they would expect nothing less) then no one can **** Overclockers off, no chance!
I report that my product was damaged, within 2 hours they have picked it up with a promise to provide me with another full build replacement before the weekend, man thats good customer service!

I had a couple of cold cathodes arrive smashed, nothing in comparison to the value of your damage but I was sent replacements straight away, so thumbs up for OcUk customer service from me!

Had a Nero fall off on two separate deliveries, very annoying but got sorted

The Nero uses pushpins and not a backplate to hold down the heatsink, not the most secure method of mounting ever created :D

I recently ordered a Zotac 9300-ITX wifi board from an online store (not OcUK btw, although I did source the CPU for this system from them). The board arrived unopened and properly sealed, but as soon as I got it out of the box I noticed that one of the pushpins for the chipset heatsink was damaged and the whole assembly was loose & rotating on one pin. Must be a common problem I guess. I was considering patching it up myself at first (didn't want the delay of RMA etc) when I noticed that a component right next to this heatsink had been knocked off the board completely. No way I was even going to attempt soldering. First time I've ever had anything delivered that's damaged and was a bit miffed. Sending it back was painless enough though, and they refunded postage etc. System is up and running now with the new board.

Ah well they should have it by now, I hope they just send me a new build like they told me on the phone! Its a shame im dead dissapointed as I should be using it now!
Probebly not Overclockers fault though and as I say if they send me a new build before the weekend thats all working and built well then thats great customer care man I tell you because they picked up my broken system 2 hours after I had reported it! Thats good! (If only we got our purchases that fast ;p)
He even said on phone they might pop something in as a compensator! I should have sent my Soundblaster Fatality card and front panel that I bought from them not too long ago and asked them to put that in it too! :)
I am only going to do it myself anyway!

Yep :D I've had those pins pop out before when the PC was sitting under my desk, so sending it through the post is asking for trouble with a heavy HS. They could avoid the problem by using an HS that screws on, but I suppose they tend to be more expensive.
