Has Lying become the way of the world?

Yes i dont think Lying is anything new but it does seem exacerbated in recent history since we all have had TV pumped directly into our roosm 24/7.

Lying and exageration also goes hand in hand with modern economics :) ooh can of worms!

I believe not everyone lies, just those greedy types in it for the money. I try to be honest in everything I do including CV's and interviews. I guess many people lie though that's why they get the job.

Well, how much resource is poured into the Arts where actors are professionals paid and applauded to lie convincingly.

Certainly it is the domain of marketing overstate (lie) about how good a product actually is.

Yes, me too. In regards to CV's and jobs, I don't mind them getting the jobs all that much because in practise it shows whose smarter anyway. What gets me is that those who lie tend to keep their jobs. Either the managers are poor themselves or just too blind to see the writing on the wall.

It's said because honesty is worth more than any sum of money. I have more respect for an honest wino tramp than a millionaire liar. Money doesn't impress me or gain respect, honor does.

I don't really know why someone would chose to be a dishonest bad person just so they can get enough money to buy expensive status symbols to impress people?? I guess they only care about impressing other shallow dishonest people.
