hey guys,

just on Discord there, on desktop doing nothing..and then, BOOM, computer restarted itself.

upon doing so it goes straight into BIOS and everything seems OK, found the CPU,RAM, GPU working as im in BIOS..but it says no boot drive? it finds my game drive but not my W11 one.

when I reset everything to default in Bios etc.. it loads tot he screen saying (along the lines) of "insert BOOT media" etc..

does this sound like a NVME failure? doesn't sound like anything else obvious??

cheers guys.

Yep sounds like a dead drive

It's bad luck, normally Nvme drives will try to warn you before they die by doing smart things like blocking off dead sectors and eventually going into red only mode etc. to have it die without warning sucks

Windows won't boot if a drive is in read only, so you'd have to boot on a different drive, then look at the problem drive with a ssd tool to see if it's in read only mode, but either way it should show up in the Bios.

Maybe as a last attempt, try moving the drive to a different Nvme slot in case your motherboard is the problem
