Ok i have a sata drive as my main drive with windows, which shows up as D drive
I have my slave IDE drive, which shows up as C drive.
Sometimes when i turn the pc on, i get the "reboot and select proper boot device" black screen. A few reboots and bios normally picks the drive up again.
Now ive clicked on the ide drive in my computer and its crashed. I just tried to turn my pc on and its not detected my ide drive again, which gives me the reboot and select proper boot device screen.
In bios its saying i only have one hdd now, which is my sata with windows on. This is selected as boot drive but it still gives me the black screen, why is this?
Why wont it boot with just the sata drive working? Is it because the drive is labled D?
You recon my ide drive is on its way out playing up like this?
Help
EDIT- Strange, i unplugged my DVD Drive, so its just got my ide drive in, and its booted off my sata now?
Still diddnt pick up my ide hdd tho?
What the hell
