Out of the blue my PC wouldn't load up as the hdd couldn't be found by the bios (barracuda 2700.11). I removed the drive, plug it into my other pc, and while the pc loaded (it took ages to load btw), windows couldn't see the drive in 'my computer.' Anything I can try? Thank god I backed everything up not so long ago.

Theres some way to do a firmware upgrade I believe - theres also some seagate drive recovery/replacement program - details are in a couple of threads on here - shouldn't be hard to find.
Unfortunatly the Seagate 7200.11 drives can only be described as dodgy at best
but don't let that put you off their 7200.12s.
