Has my tyre finally gone?

probably because you get your drive/power from the back wheel so it would wearout quicker than the front

you should have wear marks moulded into the tyre aswell, across the tread and as the tread wears down level to the marks its time to replace it

a little longer and you would have been down on the rims:eek::D

A little longer and he'd have been down on his arse.
On a serious note, as above its good that you asked. You get a deserved ribbing but keeps you safe!

I bet you an afford cigs, booze and food? If the answer is yes to any of these you can afford a new tyre. If you can't afford it then you need to reprioritise.

I am not even a biker, yet can tell you that you're baiting the grim reaper with that tyre.

Perhaps you're right, I think I was taking my own safety for granted a little - it's easy to get overconfident in a full set of bike gear, and the fact it's only a small engine makes me feel sometimes immune to death.. what people are saying is totally correct though! (To verify, yes I know I am still very vulnerable!)

As mentioned, it's in the garage now having a shiny new tire fitted for collection tomorrow morning, which is handy because I have a 120 mile round trip planned tomorrow! :)

Believe me even a low speed off in proper kit bloody stings, even a 125 can hit 60-70mph that's really going to hurt.

And I was thinking of changing my back tyre which still has plenty of thread just because its just over 3 years old... : O

Just an FYI :)
