It's well worth checking out the latest build. There are always servers around and it's quite popular. They are still working on it and creating new maps.

You will need to run the installer and let it install to the default steam directory... you should NOT have to change this unless you changed the default install path when you installed steam originally.

You WILL however need to download the Source SDK and SDK Base using steam. They can be found under tools I believe.

Once you have all this sorted, the game should appear as a third-party mod in your games list. If not, restart the steam client.

It’s well worth the download. There are several youtube videos available that demonstrate the gameplay pretty well, for those who may be hesitant. To be honest, it’s a free download, so what have you got to loose? Unless you aren’t on unlimited bandwidth of course ;)

I have started to play this game quite often, in between TF2, so feel free to add me on steam. ID is illuminatica (s/<ull).

Great game. Clocked up about 60 hours on it since the first release, proper good laugh with a few mates all on voice comms. :)

I liked the HUD and player models but when I first played it, I came across the same occurring gameplay flaw in that the non-zombies would barrcade themselves into a room for about 10 minutes+ thus making it impossible for any zombie to enter.

Do you still come across this?

Anyahoot, I don't really do gore and horror (I can stretch to scooby doo and men in black movie wise) but I do like the look of this...

You need the following:

Zombie Panic: Source
Half-Life 2
Source SDK
Source SDK Base

Doesn't matter in what order you install them to be honest, just make sure each says "100% - Ready" under "status" in steam. Once installed, Zombie Panic: Source can be found under the "My games" tab in steam. Launch it from there or create a desktop shortcut using steam.
 
And just when you thought it was safe... LoadsaMoney pokes his head in!

How many people will develop a complex regarding that particular number because of this thread... I wonder? :p

cheers mate got it working, its good stuff but im finding it hard to jump on boxes...is there some special way? also im sure hl2 had a slight zoom in with weapon, cant seem to find it on zp. whats your usernamee by the way
