Has Virgin upgraded the speeds recently?

So now VM have either "TBA" or "Complete" as the status? How helpful. Is that divided across any obvious lines e.g. ex-Cabletel areas or is it pretty much random?

Any news on when they're releasing dates for the other areas or is it a case of wait and see?

Looks like they are all in Non old NTL areas, must be the Telewest ones. I would have expected the Nynex ones to be done quite quckly. They were always the most robust networks.

(they say top 5% get slowed but in reality all get slowed down lol)
No, not everyone gets slowed down because not everyone downloads sufficient amounts for STM to kick in, by their figures it's only 5% of customers. Average Joe who only uses their connection for a bit of browsing and email isn't going to see a slow down, if anything they're going to see better speeds because heavy users being throttled means more bandwidth for everyone else, that's the point of STM.

Check the cable modem configuration page. If it a Webstar cable modem, then you are in luck. Type in the cable modem ip address (192.168.100.1) on your web browser address with no www or http at the beginning and click the heading of (status) and check the CM-Docsis file for your broadband speed. Should be something like cm-1136-768.
