Does it still have rubbish animations?
I never saw what it looks like on launch but tried the trial recently. I thought the graphics looked nice. But wasnt too hot on the actual game. Might have been the server I joined but the community werent very friendly either, no one talked.
WAR wasnt the first mmo to kill questing and you still had to search around anyway.nope, really just never saw anyone talk on launch, the whole red x marks the spot crap they threw in killed the community. Other mmo's clues aren't so obvious, you had to find things, get help, ask others to help, find a group and look together, that all led to the chat channels being full of people looking for groups and help. warhammer lacked all of that, the open world pvp was dead because it was easier, quicker and simply to get pvp rewards through instances which killed the gameplay as you can just stand anywhere get into a game and magically port back to where you were.
turd game, technically proficient graphics while being utterly uninspiring design work, very bland in color I found and it just felt dull and flat.
is it the same company doing the 40k one, same engine just different area's, models etc, or completely different top to bottom?
I disagree i started playing again yesturday after a 3 month break. And the first 5 minutes back in the game i joined a 25 player warband and we basically owned tier 2 with little effort from the empire![]()

It has improved slightly, problem is only having two sides instead of the DAOC 3 side system, I firmly believe this is why PVP isn't as good as DAOC.
This. Plus the battlefields all feel tiny and cramped, as opposed to the wide open fields and hills in DAOC.
I'm still playing it mind you, more to do in it than most other mmo's.
I'm currently MMO-less for the first time in about 6 years![]()
DAoC > Borehammer by such a long way. endgame is soooo much better, shame its not getting the attention it deserves.
The game I liked, the community was dire though, worse than CS in that respect.
