Thanks, reason I ask is because like you, I ran those with my 4790K but Handbrake is another story! Sorry for derailing. I was toying with Haswell-E, as I rip DVD's to MP4 (hence using Handbrake).

I can boot to XMP profile 1 (2800mhz) but can overclock much at all regardless of volts at that speed, XMP profile 2 (3000mhz) won't even boot at stock cpu speeds.
yeah that is very true. as long as you're stable for what you use it for, you're good to go. just updated my x99 deluxe bios to 0902 and I'm not stable anymore for some reason
