Haswell-e overclocking

Thanks, reason I ask is because like you, I ran those with my 4790K but Handbrake is another story! Sorry for derailing. I was toying with Haswell-E, as I rip DVD's to MP4 (hence using Handbrake).

5820k @4.5 1.320v. 1.920 input, ram at 2133 due to instability of current bios.

ah ok I see. I might give handbrake a go then
strange. the asus bios seems stable enough to enable xmp profiles

Am sure I just got the XMP 2 work....
Intelburn on very hard. need to re-do my paste on the CPU tho I think. temps were a little warm.

yeah it's a pain in the ass
I can boot to XMP profile 1 (2800mhz) but can overclock much at all regardless of volts at that speed, XMP profile 2 (3000mhz) won't even boot at stock cpu speeds.
