Hi all

Anyone know what average temps the 4770k should sit at when idle

I'm sure with my h100i I was getting around 28c now with kraken x60 I'm getting 33c :(

Cheers all I've just realised that I've not actually tightened the 4 screws with a screw driver lol only by hand as I'm to use to corsair DOH

Are they not as tight as possible when done by hand, or can you go further with a screw driver?

Did your temps go down after?

Thought I would double check mine. It seems you can only tighten so much before the screws start just turning without getting any tighter. Made no change to my temps. I think once you have tightened as much as possible by hand, it is as tight as it gets.

Anyway, main thing is you are sorted now. Plus don't forget, it is load temps what matter most ;)

What is your idle liquid temp reporting by the way?

Don't know now as I'm getting a usb issue lol its supposed to be a common software issue with windows 8 pro :)
Asetek are working on a fix for the nzxt control software

Hi TNA are you getting this error with the usb showing disconnected and the nzxt control panel is blank?

Nope. I am on Windows 8 pro also. In the app my cpu and fans don't show up, but i know why, it is because I have them not monitored from the bios.

That said I had a similar problem when I was running the cooler on a much older mobo. Now everything that needs to work works. I see liquid temperature and how fast the pump is operating + all the other options.

Hi TNA
How do you monitor the the pump speed fans and cpu from the bios? I've got the asus maximus vi

Cheers

Hey delpy. I think maybe I typed it wrong. I do not monitor anything from the bios. What I was trying to say is I set the fans to ignore in the bios. For some reason the board does not pick up fan speed on the x60, so if I do not set to ignore, the board thinks the fans are broke and chucks out a warning on boot. Could be I need to check I connected it to the right place, but I never bothered to check, was too much in a rush to get the cpu going and overclock it at the time. lol

I did not do anything special to get it to work. I just installed windows 8 and installed the program, so can't really help you there. Once the program is working you can see pump speed and liquid temperature there :)

Hi TNA

GO you lol that's good its working for you just a software glitch that will get sorted soon I hope I might even do a fresh install and see if that helps I'm happy with the kraken except for the fan rattle above 75 percent :(

Honestly though, when will you ever use fans at that speed? They will make you deaf  But I know that feeling, you pay good money for something and you want it to 100% function. Worse case scenario you can return it for replacement or just buy and stick on 2 static fans.

I use my one on silent profile which does the job well :)

Mine is on silent also and it's quiet I should have said from the start that my cpu is at 4.2 with these temps so the cooker is keeping temps down
