so damn funny! Obviously humour is dependent on the person in question, so people arguing over not liking it or liking it is a bit daft

I disliked it too. Not because of Brian Blessed, but just because the humour wasn't at all in the satiring of the news, but in Brian talking loudly.

I thought there was rather more to Paul's question "Does anyone remember what this programme used to be like?" than might be apparent.

Aye, maybe. It seems to be all about the host of the week at the moment. The news content seems to be altogether tangential.

True. I'm more interested in who the host is now than what they will discuss.

Plus the quality of the host will vary. You will get your Martin Clunes/Alexander Armstrong who do a good job and then you get your Boris Johnson/Brian Blessed where it then descends into a farce. A funny farce but a farce all the same.

Didn't Armstrong do the show a few show and felt upset because he thought there was a chance he could get the host seat on a permanent basis?
