Down under mate!
Bought myself an PS3 last week so as to play F1 also got Motorstorm and Rainbow Six Las Vegas in the purchase price.

But after looking at future games coming out on both the PS3 and Xbox360 I now wish I had bought a 360!

Been trying all week to set my ps3 up on the PS3 Station Network but cannot get it to work!!

Do you think if I took my PS3 back to the shop they would swap it out for a Xbox360??

Thundy.

Take it back if you dont like it. Its in your rights.

I would.

How come you cant get the PSN to work?

No rights, you cannot just change your mind if you don't like it. They best they might offer is store credit.

Depending what shop you got it from, they make do a straight swap, and give you the rest of the money back. Ive done it before for a console after a week or so.
Still have problems with connecting to PSN? You was connecting it straight to a modem wasnt you not using a router is that correct?

xbox live isnt a miracle cure for connectivity issues, plenty of people have had problems getting live set up correctly(me included), you would only have to google to see how many. i suspect you would have the same issues with an xbox 360 as you would a ps3 as its probably nothing to do with the console itself.

i dont have a ps3 so i cant really help you on this

Just wait 6months as you will be buying another one when the games start coming. Appreciate the blu-ray features instead.

Watching Films is hardly a substitute for gaming is it?...

And why will he be buying one again in six months?

LittleBigPlanet Beta, Uncharted, Ratchet and Clank, GT5 Prologue (online with 16 cars), Heavenly Sword, Pro Evo...

To the original poster, calm down and sort the PSN. You haven't described why it isn't working and it isn't any worse than Live apart from not having XMB over games (which will be included soon). Games are coming, be patient.

At the moment the future games for 2008 on the PS3 are looking incredible, so I don't understand unless your just looking at this years lineup. You should ditch F1 and buy Sigma for a start, VF5 is also better than Vegas. I also bet there are some PS2 games you haven't played that are probably worth playing.

Wait until the new 360s come out which are stable and then purchase one before christmas :)
