Have Nvidia drivers matured yet for Vista?

I would fully expect Vista to be a little slower on the same hardware. XP is simpler, and had fewer processes, etc, than Vista.

It's like comparing XP and 98. Which do you think would be faster?

The difference in gaming performance is nigh on negligible these days.

Sure, Vista still has a couple of issues -don't tell me XP didn't when it came out.

Are people actually expecting miracles from SP1? Why, the OS is not terrible as it stands - yes, there are some things need fixing, but generally its stable and very usable.

The only thing requiring major improvement where gaming is concerned is DX10 performance. Is this down to NVidia/AMD or Microsoft? Who knows.

Where Dx9 performance is concerned, NVidia drivers are in good shape (apart from, aparently, SLI). Problems I have in games are hardly ever driver related - Usually things like punkbuster.

The only other reason I can think poeple might have problems is OCing and pushing there hardware too far, yet insisting things like "It runs 3dMark06 fine, so why won't my game run ok?"

And can someone tell me the relevance of the number of posts from a user, or the length of time they have been registered on this site?
 
I have been searching Google regarding the results from Windows XP Service Pack 3 and quite a number of sites are reporting this however, the articles are written around the original website that was reporting these results which I am still very sceptical off. :)
 
My XP installation has SP3 on and Crysis seemed slightly better for me, dunno if thats just coz I defragged my HDD tho, but my system was deffenitly abit more responsive after I installed SP3.

I dont notice any other differences though.
