Ordered at around 7/8pm launch day. Was 158th, now 138th in a single update email. So yeah, seems like it.
Please remember that any mention of competitors, hinting at competitors or offering to provide details of competitors will result in an account suspension. The full rules can be found under the 'Terms and Rules' link in the bottom right corner of your screen. Just don't mention competitors in any way, shape or form and you'll be OK.
I'm position 10 for this card, I know those that were previously position 5 and 8 now have their cards. My position on the 29th September was 18. So in just under a month they've only received about 10 cards of this type. I don't blame OCUK this mostly lies with Nvidia and Gigabyte but it still sucks. Also for the record I ordered at 15:13 launch day.
Everyone keeps talking about production ramping up in November but I don't get it, why was it not ramped up before launch, why just drip feed cards across the entire planet at launch so there's barely any reaching retailers. I mean I know why, because they needed guine pigs to test their cards before finalising the design to roll out mass production. Also that Nvidia didn't give manufactures enough time to design and produce their cards. And that just came down to trying to keep everything a secret from their competitor. All that to say we as consumers got screwed and anyone saying they had a decent supply of cards at launch are kidding themselves, production is only ramping up not down so the fact we've only had 10 in three weeks highlights how little they had at launch. It was basically a paper launch in the sense that they weren't trying to fulfil demand as their primary directive. Nvidia's primary directive was secrecy and manufactuers was buying as much time to test and refine their designs as possible. As long as you have realistic expectations in mind, that you'll be waiting potentially months to get your card, you'll be fine. If anyone is under any delusion that production will ramp up enough to fulfil even half the orders by Christmas you might want to re-evaluate.
Great news guys, stock is now moving really fast. I've received another queue update and I've gone from 133 to 129 in two weeks! seriously though, I thought they said production would increase, not decrease... I'm now seriously considering canceling and going with amd. Dlss is the only thing holding me back, doesn't look like amd has an answer to that
Ordered on the 6th October and i'm queue position 984. I've seen someone on here say they ordered on the 14th October and were 40 places in front of me in the queue so i'd love to know how that works.
The things I don't understand are:
1) If Overclockers already have 1000+ people in a queue, why are they still allowing the products to be purchased? money in their account earning interest
2) Why are they taking the money immediately for something they likely won't ship now until February/March next year - Money for them to use
2) How is it possible that ASUS have only sent 20 of these cards to one of the biggest online retailers in the country? - dont know
3) What are Nvidia playing at!?
1253 in the Q you'll never see one ever.i ordered on 21st and am 1253 in the queue I thought this was overall orders, but if this is just for the OC edition i am really shocked! they should have closed pre-orders at 500 units keeping it open its insane what's worse is they've only had 20 of these cards though a small order is due today... i hope AMD's offering it as good or better i have my doubts but we can hope!
