Have to disable/enable network device to get internet

This might be my own stupid fault for not reinstalling the OS, but I'd like to avoid that if I can. I just changed my CPU/mobo/RAM and let Windows 7 rectify itself. The OS seems happy in all ways except when I boot into windows I'll get local network connectivity, but not web. If I disable, then reenable the NIC (onboard) in the device manager it then finds the web connection. Surely there's a way to rectify this niggle?

Tried uninstalling the driver and reinstalling one off the disk/manufacturers wesbite?

I've uninstalled and reinstalled the driver from inside Windows 7: I'll try your suggestion.

I say get the latest driver from the website and try updating the driver with the latest one.

Updating core hardware without reinstalling the OS is alway a messy situation!
