hey guys.

So here's my problem. im running two EVGA GTX 570 with 2.5 GB VRAM in SLI config. however every time i shut my computer down and turn it back on again i have to reinstall the nvidia drivers.

when i boot up my computer the scream resolution will only go up to 1024 X 768 and the NVIDIA control panel has disappeared part from the only very basic controls so i have t re-install the latest driver and re configure my SLI. I am using the stock settings on the car however and i have a 850W PSU.

Can anyone shed some light on this?

That is a bizarre one. Which drivers are you using? The latest ones or older or beta ones?

Also you only hae 1.28Gig of Ram you cant add both together as the cards dont share the ram between them its their own Ram and textures load into both sets of RAM exactly the same on both cards.

What are you other specs as 850W may be pushing the limit HOWEER that shouldnt effect your drivers

Ah sorry lol. Thats why I needed specs lol. Your two HDD's are they in Raid array or just two HDD's you use for storage etc. Also operating system? 32Bit or 64Bit and have you overclocked anything?

thats okay :) my HDD's are just 2 separate HDD's. on with window, one for storage.

i have Win 7 home Premium 64bit (16GB of ram would be absolutely pointless otherwise :P

and i used OCGenie 2 to overclock my CPU from 3.3Ghz to 4.2 Ghz

I really can not see what the issue is then. It's weird.

Have you tried uninstalling the drivers fully. Including removing any left behind folders and registery entries. Rebooting. Then installing the new drivers selecting custom options and then tick remove previous version and install new drivers and see if that works?

hmm , weird one ,
You could try removing the lower slot card
then install drivers as admin , reboot and see what happens
if that works , power down and stick in the other card
