A few years ago, some American surveillance company required that some of its workers had RFID microchips inserted under their skin as a part of their employment.

Perhaps our Tory overlords will introduce this scheme in the UK in place of the dreaded Id Cards? At least they would be cheap and would be hard to mislay

In fact, I seem to remember that something along these lines was done to Jason Bourne.

I have several. The one in my credit card allows me to spend my money. The one in my oystercard allows me to use public transport. The one in my passport allows me to travel across borders. The one in my library card allows me to borrow books.

I don't have a new enough passport for this as I got it the year before they implimented the tag. I can cross borders without it so meh!
