Hi,

I have a custom built PC, it isn't booting up and the screen reads "no video input"

I notice when i turn it on all of the fans work and hard disk spins, Just the screen comes up with no video input or sometimes no video signal.

I have tried using my graphics card and it says no video signal.
I used the on board graphics on the motherboard, it reads no video input

i have disconnected everything and it still doesent show.
i removed the memory and after a couple of secs it beeps.

im not sure what to do.

I did notice when i had the cd rom drive hooked it was like the cd rom drive was grinding or hissen rather.

Any help would be appreciated. i

I have actually tried the Monitor on my laptop and it works fine there. No it's a normal philips monitor

The Specs are:

AMD Phenom x 4
8800 GTX Graphics card nvidia
2 x 1gb DDR 1600 Memory
2 x 200 GB SATA western digital hard drives
MSI 790GX-G65 Mother Board
700 PSU gigabyte it can take the 8800 GTX card

Nope, Tried the CMOS (not myself, lol) nothing, I've pinned it down to 2 things, Either the MOBO, or PSU.

Though if it was the PSU woudn'y it come on and go off again from experience the PSU would shutdown because it was under power if you will.

Check your GPU connector to the monitor. Are you using DVI, HDMI, Display port or VGA and set you monitor to display the aforementioned connectors.
