Having problems with Windows re-install. Lost bunch of system32 .exe's.

I've reinstalled Windows 7 64bit recently, and having a host of problems.

For some reason, none of the games installed, and I've recently followed steps to remove the System Reserved partition. However, I've now lost the elevated command point (though the normal one still exists).

Is there anyway to reinstall missing components from the Windows boot disc or any other way to fix this?

Failing that, would a simple reinstall of Windows just overwrite what is already there but keep everything else on the drive?

Save yourself the time and hassle and just do it again.

Because it filled up rapidly, and I kept getting annoying notifications.

I'll just do a clean install.

Did you give it a drive letter or something? You shouldn't get low space warnings for the reserved partition.

I'd wipe the drive and start over
