Having real problems picking a Sound Card

so you all say that xfi blaster not compatible with windows xp 64 bit ? :confused:

edit : so i switched to xp64bit and when u put sound card in pci slot and you start pc windows just not detects new hardware is this fixable or not will creative fix that or they cant bother there *** to do it

?

What would people recommend in terms of a sound card for more music quality rather than gaming, at around the £100 mark? I plan to do both, but music is more important to me. Bear in mind that this will mostly be run through a pair of Sennheiser HD555's, so we're not talking about the ultimate in studio quality or anything, just something to make my music sound better than my mobo sound. Was gonna get the Extreme Music, but it seems to be sold out and discontinued now..

Xfi running in XP64 on a machine here.
With 4gb ram

No problems at all.

For headphones these could be considered.

The M-Audio AUDIOPHILE USB is good, quite neutral and the M-Audio SESSION is nice and small, the sound is good.

But you may require diffrent/more output's (suround etc).

There isnt a choice really.
For Gaming its a Creative card and thats it.
If you want to listen to music you buy something else although Creative do do a very good job at that as well.
