So after plugging in the brand new corsair 650 watt into my new pc and realising it was broke, I have since arranged an rma. I just received a 750 watt corsair from a friend to borrow for a week until I get mine back. Plugged it in, no signal from my brand new asus nvidia 760. Fans are running, it has a green light on it. I have tried installing drivers through the integrated graphics on my mobo.

I have tried putting pci as the priority over the integrated graphics. I have disabled the integrated graphics. Basically I think the faulty psu I received in the same order fried it? Any advice ?

what board are you using? monitoring software like asus suite or easytune should tell you current bios version

Use onboard graphics and get into the bios and it should state there what version bios it is , I.e. Bios revision f6. Or b4 or something along those lines.

Might not have been installing it that crashed it. I had a system dump. That's hardware related right? Or could an updated bios fix it? My bios version is v02.61

look on gigabytes website, type in your board model and see what latest bios is,id try that first then move onto other things

I have just looked and yes get the asus bios version 1801, Also get the bios updater tool under Bios utilities to install the bios. I think this will solve your problem as in 2011 the 760 gfx card was not even out and that is how old your bios is. Heck i got a 780 a week ago and my 1 year old motherboard bios could not detect it at all untill i updated the bios.
