Hey all

On my old router, i had a static IP to help with port forwarding... I've since got a BT router, but i'm just trying to set my "default gateway" and "dns servers".

The problem i'm having, is after following the guide at portforward.com, i go to set my default gateway as 255.255.255.0 like the guide says, but in my network set up, it wont accept it.

Basically when i try to key in 255, it defaults back to 223, and i get that error message.

Same happens with the DNS settings :(

Anyone know whats going on?

the guide will not say set your default gateway to 255..... :p

the dns server addresses and default gateway will both be the ip address of your router (usually 192.168.1.1). :)
