First things first, hardware.
MB: Asus P5QL-Pro
CPU: E8200 Wolfdale
GPU: Asus EN9800GT 512MB
RAM: 4x1GB sticks of DDR2 1066 Corsair ballistix ram
PSU: Artec 550w
Now, I have been reading up on the overclocking possibilities of the cpu in question but have not been able to get even close to the 3.92Ghz that people have laid claim to.
Instead I am currently stuck at 3.4Ghz, and quite frustrated seeing as the temp doesn't get above 47C!
In short how can I get this baby to at least hit 3.6GHz?
Vcore @ 1.25
NB @ Auto
SB @ Auto
RAM @ 2.2
Timmings are 4-5-5-15
Ratio is 1:1
Also, having an Asus mobo I have found that there are more settings in there than I know what to do with. CPU AI clock twister? sounds like an icecream to me! If any1 can offer me suggestions I would be very grateful. Also, I still don't understand RAM timings too well. having all four slots full, will tightening the ram timings put too much stress on the NB? It was previously on 5-5-5-18.
Thanks
Steve
