Having update/activation problems

"Your iPhone could not be activated because the activation server cannot be reached."

My phone isn't jailbroken.
My phone is locked to O2 sim which is what I'm using
My phone was working before, I wanted to reset my phone before moving to iOS7
I've tried updating via iTunes/Wi-Fi.

Anyone else have problems?

Update: Apparently other people are having problems, dammit Apple!

Yup it's knackered. At least it's a night of peace and quiet. Mine's sat in recovery mode lol

Am I bothered, not really. iPhone 5 not allowed in office at work, so it doesn't get used. Getting the 5S at the weekend as with work discount it'll be cheaper than staying with my 5!
 
ive got the same problem did a factory reset before i put the new ios 7 on and now my phone will not activate getting the same message been trying it for hours to say im ****ed off is a understatement i now have a expensive paperweight whilist apple sort this out!grrrrrrrrrrrrrr
