ugh, how long does this last, a couple of months? Probably have to get dosed up on tablets, but a pack of 5 is like a tenner or something stupid.

Boots one a day - £7.70 for 30 tablets and they are on BOGOF - its the cheapest around at the mo (I know - I've been looking)

Hope it helps :)

my g/f gets hay feaver. she was saying you have to change what tablets you take every year so your body doesnt get used to it. You have probably got another 3-4 months left of it.

Asda have 7 tablets for 99p, they have the same chemicals in as pirateez (SP?) made by galpharm. Working a treat here.

Depends on what pollen irritates you more than most. Mine is grass pollen, which usually stops circulating after around a month.

At the moment it's pretty bad, humidy and a soft warm breeze is keeping the pollen in the air. My eyes feel like they're full of sand, and I sneeze for 10 minutes straight as soon as I wake up.

For the rest of the summer I get the odd sniffle but it's nothing really.

I get all my hayfever tablets on a prescription from the doctor every year (60 tablets). The hayfever season usually lasts about a month to a month and a half

There is apparently a smog warning out (Linky to BBC News) which will possibly affect people with asthma - would be horrible to have asthma and hayfever

I dont have asthma but when hayfever season starts I use a powder inhaler because all the muck in my chest causes me breathing problems when I sleep. My other half says I sound like a 90 year old smoker when Im asleep during the hayfever season. :D

mine started in march, went at the end of april, and inthe last 2 days it has made a comeback with a vengeance! Went to the doc who has prescribed me some pretty strong shizzle. I am dosed up right now and doing garden work.....but I can still feel the itch at the back of my throat, my nose is running and my eyes are getting puffy! arrrrgh!

I thought I was going to die on Wednesday, didn't get out of bed all day.

I was so bad that I didn't go out and I never miss a Weds night out drinking.

My chest was tight, eyes closing, sneezing, back hurting, just felt crap all day.

It's still a bit bad now but I find it's a lot easier if you take the tablets.

Tescos's cetirizinre tablets are on BOGOF at the moment. 2 months supply (60 tablets) for less than £4

I'm still itching a lot though, makes me wonder how bad I'd be without them

I hate hayfever:( Just started for me, i hate the sneezing none stop and the eyes hurting, grrrr, but i dont have to pay for medicine as i get it from el doctors!

My symptoms are pretty mild, runny nose and a few sneezes per hour ( no eye irritation at all ).

I've been on Tesco pills ( Loratadine ) for a couple of weeks but they seem to be useless. I bought Cetirizine dihydrochloride today and will try it for a few days to see if it is more effective.

I used some pills from Boots last year which were also pretty useless.

By useless, I mean that they suppress the symptoms slightly but at times it feels as if I never even took the pill. Am I expecting too much from over the counter meds? :p

Just getting the odd sneeze at the moment, luckily I seem to have outgrown the worst of my hayfever - I used to get it really bad when I was a teenager, and always at exam time......
