Haze PS3 exclusive now

That really doesn't make much sense. Unless you're being paid for exclusivity, or you're a Sony developer there is no way releasing a title only for the PS3 is more viable than releasing it for PC + 360 + PS3, and if picking only one console surely the 360 is the best bet...

There is just no reason for this other than Sony paying, not saying its a bad thing, just not sure why they don't just come out and say it.

They have a lot of work to do, it looks crap.

I second that.

I was watching a walkthrough earlier and i was like what is the point in this game. Turning guards to overdose with a shot to the back. Weird.

Looks awful...Just seems like Riddick from xbox but awful.

I think it looks VERY like Resistance. It's almost like PS3 games have a certain style too them (all a little too bright and blurry).

However, gameplay wise it looks brilliant.

First video I've watched of Haze, and all though technically it doesn't exactly dazzle the gameplay looks very impressive, this coming from someone who is sick to death of fps games atm.

If this represents what you could expect in MP then it really could be a hit :)

Think we may be playing a different Resistance to each other? :p

No wonder you didn't like it.

The stylization of buildings, low resolution textures etc.. bare a resemblance to each other. Haze looks a little better though.

To me this reaks of a lack of confidence in their title. They don't want to put it up against the fps big boys on 360 as they're worried it'll get lost in the mix, so they release on a platform that's just gagging for anything remotely decent (you just need to look at some of the tosh that's sold well on PS3 due to a lack of alternative titles to realise why a less spectacular game would drift toward that platform).........which is not imo aa bad thing, as if it turns out to be good, then no doubt it'd get converted anyway (though I'd probably buy the PS3 version anyway, as I'm so impatient :D ).

They talk about Haze on the new 1UP pod cast and unfortunately slate it. Bad framerates, very poor textures, pitiful AI and at one point call it 'An Xbox game'. Several of them played it and the view was virtually unanimous and they questioned whether in its current form it'll really be released this year.

Just saw the trailer, and it doesn't seem quite as impressive as that first gameplay trailer where he's in the jungle with his squadmates. That drew comparisions to Crysis in the graphics department, whereas the latest footage can't even stand up to 3-4 year old PC games. I guess it's all in the locale. It's difficult to make urban settings and such look as appealing as jungles and beaches, etc.

I don't think so, I'd say it's easier. Jungle, or foliage scenes are notoriously difficult to master, it still hasn't been done well, Crysis seems to be the first game to change that.

We have had many beautiful urban area's over the years, the epitomy of which is still Gears of War. I wouldn't say that's a valid excuse at all.
