Hazro S-IPS screens

Good stuff mrk, i'll look forward to your opinion as from reading around you'll be in a good position to make comment having owned the Dell & BenQ :).

Don't forget the Hyundai PVA panel! though I rate the BenQ much higher than the Hyundai I received for text quality, the Dell goes bottom of the pile >_>

That sounds really frustrating mrk, having made the decision only to return it (x3) - as i found to my cost when i returned my Samsung 245T and got stung £40 p&p for the privilege.

Yup, by the sounds of it though Hazro appear to be very good with support if something should go wrong. I also like the fact that the PSU for the Hazro screens is a block that goes on the floor instead of being in the panel itself, means less heat generated and no buzzing annoyances!

As for returning the BenQ, I did a check on http://www.interparcel.com/ and looks like returning a 10KG box the size of the BenQ will only cost £12~ +VAT depending on courier used. I will use that service if I have to pay for return postage unless OCUK get it collected :)

Thats good to know as one of the main reasons for returning the Samsung was that it had a persistant low frequency buzzing sound that quickly drove me nuts.

Thanks for the link as on first glance it doesn't seem to charge extra for Northern Ireland (as is the norm) pick-up. I had used the Post Office for the Samsung return and the reason for the high p&p was the additional insurance on the package because it was worth over £500.

I foolishly used the post office for a 1.2KG package the other day and was charged £20 for RMSD !!!! I almost fainted but had to pull myself together and just posted it anyway.

Never again!

Then you were ripped off. Over 2kg is £20. Over 1kg is £8.75. Under 500g is £4.75. Or did you mean 2.1kg?

Oops 2.1, with the box, papers and lens pouch + hood and packing it all added to the weight.

No response from Hazro yet but I guess I'm being too impatient (but think of the excitement!!!) - I also got a webnote reply from ocuk, been told the monitor is being arranged for pickup tomorrow! Nice service as usual :)

Let me know if you have no joy and I will pass on the details of the UK Product Manager. He was very good with me, replied to emails within minutes and sorted me out a Purchase Order a couple of hours after I told him I wanted to go ahead.

Still meaning to do a review on my HZ24W but I'm very happy with. I will post the 'official HZ24W thread' sometime soon.

I've not had any reply as of yet, perhaps day off? would be good if you could pass on word too just so they know I'm serious!

When you post your thread I'll add to it too as I'll likely have the 24" too by then!

Can anyone let me know the warranty period and terms for the HZ24W? The website doesn't seem to say anything about it.

It would be great if they are able to match or exceed Dell's warranty.

The warranty was 1yr but they eliminated that and it's standard 3years with all their screens now :)

HI there

Spoken directly with Hazro today, so as long as things go well OcUK may soon be introducing the Hazro range of monitors to our site.

As more and more people are made aware of these screens I can see many sales of Hazro displays from OCUK since nobody else appears to have them other than Hazro direct !

BTW My monitor is coming tomorrow, 24" Black edition! I also ordered a Eye-One Display2 colorometer as I think the Spyder2 may not be as accurate as I had hoped judging by a number of reviews and the deltaE results from the tftcentral review!

Nice one mrk, congrats on your purchase - hopefully this one will be a keeper ;)!!

Do you mind me asking, how much it cost?

Was the order process easy/difficult?

Looking forward to some pics :).

Thanks

Well I was woken up this morning at 10am by my mobile ringing, Eugene was on the other end to confirm I wanted the monitor and take my order! was quite painless really!

I'm looking forward to it :D

It was £440 which included £20 for next day del (£355+VAT+DEL).
Quite reasonable for a 24" IPS I'd say and if it's a keeper then let's say I have it 4 years before going bigger then it's money well spent !

Doubt I'd need bigger anytime soon though, more dual screen than bigger res down the line so hopefully by then OCUK will be stocking the Hazro models :D
