It's been widely reported this is coming on the 27th November and will be a "limited edition" available in certain markets for Christmas availability.

Can anyone from OcUK confirm whether they will be getting stock of these cards? And maybe hint at pricing?

If true, I would say "Very expensive".

If I manage to get a refund for my 7950 I might be able to pick one of these up.

Any ideas on pricing? My guess is £230, between 7870 and 7950

Yeah there's loads of links around the web now.

All saying mostly the same thing:

Cut-down Tahiti chip.
15% faster than GTX660 is the aim.
No reference design.
Limited numbers - holiday 2012 season.

None of them said it was a dual GPU tho iBSOD.

The thing is the 7870 is already the same performance as the GTX 660TI in BF3. a 1500 core 7890 would put it ahead of the GTX 660TI.

If that's the case I won't be complaining, I'll be buying one :p

Cut down Tahiti, 1.5GB vram from what I can make out.

Looks to be released in the same slot as the 6930 was, an effort to ship out chips that couldn't cut it at 7950/70 levels?

With prices as they are, I can't see where this card fits in at all.

Me neither. 7950's can be had for ~£230 if you wait for offers on here, 7870's sit @£200 give or take 10-20. That's a very small gap to fill unless pricing is about to get a shake up at the same time, I cant see the 7950 moving much but perhaps 7870/50's are about to be lowered again.

The WCCF link states 2GB @ 256Bit with 156 more streaming processors. that puts it a little above the standard 7870, if this is what it is and limited edition it will probably end up as a limited line of GPU's at the same price as 7870 only with a little higher performance.

A Christmas special if you like.

Ahh you're correct sir, I was looking at a release table from December 2011 :p

Looks like it was originally penned in to have a 384bit with 1.5GB memory, since has changed to 256bit/2GB. Makes sense I suppose, as if it was 384bit it would have been named a 7930 or similar :)
