HD Codecs

Hello.

Are there any free players available now which will play back HD content like Blu Ray?

Did I see a post about Media Player Classic HD or something?

I dont thing there are any, I remeber Powerdvd getting forced by the industry to stop play back of BD and HD.

Although I know version 2815 (i think thats the version) of Powerdvd can still play them.

So what can someone who has a BR player in the PC use to play back HD content?

What? Lol. PowerDVD can very much play back HD DVD and Blu-Ray, including up to the very latest version. Nero Also plays back BD/HD and a couple other programs.

Just rip the movie, then you can play it using any player.

no no sorry I must have misunderstood. Mad headache today. :mad:

you cant or you couldn't play ripped blueray or HD from the harddrive, BUT you CAN play any hd format with an optical drive such as a Blu ray player with anything like Powerdvd. Thats what I use with my Bluray player.

Free version should too.
