Mate has a Mac G5. He does a lot of video editing and has move to HD now so storage wise he's running out of space. He wants at least 1TB and for it to be fast as possible. His G5 has only two SATA ports and one is in use atm.

Ideas please. USB2 external drive or network storage? Not sure myself. EDIT USB would be too slow.

External RAID solution with PCI x controller card?

Come one peeps. I'm thinking of external RAID solution, possibly RAID 10 to give the speed and performance.

He doesn't mind spending a bit of money on it, though of course the less the better. As above, at least 1TB of storage.
