I've just been browsing a few sites for possible pre-orders and have been trying to decide between PC or 360 for cross platform games.

With many PC titles to be hand for ~£19.99 compared to ~£39.99 for the 360, it's time to decide what version to go for.

Is it worth £20 more for console "pick up and play" or to save 50% and have the possiblity of fiddling with settings/patches to get a PC game to play ball??

In my own situation I've got a reasonably well spec'd pc:

A64 3700+
2Gb Ram
7800 GTX

At the same time I've got a 360 Premium and Samsung 26" LCD.

In recent months I've got Ghost Recon AW for the 360 because it was out on 360 first (and also because I thought it would be a more demanding title for the pc), but bought COD2 for the PC for £20.

Which platform would you choose for a cross platform release?
360 £40
PC £20

Depends what type of game.

FPS = PC for certain
Sport/Racing = Console
Strategy = PC

I would have made similar decision before the 360 was out (although I went Xbox for Halo/Splinter Cell series FPS wise).

Looking to some future titles, Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Double Agent is a PC/360 title and Gears of War is out on 360 soon but will be a PC Vista title.

I'm not die-hard "PC for FPS" person anymore as a pad is quite easy to handle if the control system is well made.
