Where can I get some more HD jumpers? Haven't seen them offered anywhere.

Found out by trial and error (ok then, mostly by error) that a new OEM WD SATA HD needs a jumper in the "enable SATA 150Mb/s only operation" position to work with my last-years-model motherboard. And it didn't even ship with one jumper.

I don't know of anywhere that sells them officially, can you cannabalise one from somewhere else, maybe an old PC? The other options are to write to WD and explain the situation and hope they send you a couple or if you are really stuck then you could always use a small bit of wire, just make a small loop big enough to go over those two pins only and that should work although it is hardly an elegant or surefire solution. :)

are they just the normal HDD jumpers if so, I may have some here that I could post to you:)

If I ever needed jumpers, and didn't have any on old bits, I would simply go down the tip and get one from the dozens of old computers that get dumped there.

:)

Thanks for all the replies folks, and the offers of help.

Have just checked M*****s and find they stock them. Something for the "may come in useful sometime" cupboard.
