Didnt Know specifically wher to post this but owell..

anyway I got a few HD 1080p movies on my PC but both of them struggle when playing back.
In some parts it is appearing to 'stutter' and in some parts ther seems to only be described as artifacts appearing on some areas on the screen.

720p movies run fine but I would have thought my PC couldnt handle 1080p?
spec is in my sig

can the program im using cause this? but VLC is very common and lots of people use it so im not sure what it can be any ideas?

thanks

I suggest you install something like CoreAVC which has CUDA support to offload the processing of the 1080p film to the GPU. CoreAVC along with MPC-HC is a nice combo.

If you are using Windows 7 Media Player has GPU offloading support.

Ok thanks gona try CoreAVC and MPC see if I have any luck..
still baffling be why I cant run smoothly :(

Edit: Those both worked an absolute treat must have been VLC. Very thankful of your help much appreciated :)
