hi ya guy, just bought a Western Digital Caviar Green 1TB, and a caddie

tho i dont know how to format it due to it not appearing in my compture, tho how found it in the hardware section in window and it just say unformate, and there is know where to format it

new problem guys, i set the drive to do full formatbut it taking ages it on 2% and has been on of like 5 hours, thought it only just start show the 2% before there was nothing, how long should it take, i know it a big drive but this can not be normal

I take it, it's in the caddie?

If you can install it to your motherboard for formatting and see if that helps.

TBF I gave up with caddies a long time ago, and stuck with premade externals since. I had no end of issues with them. :/
