HD Projector advise req...

a proper screen will give a far better picture than using a wall to shine the image on to.. the colour of the wall is one problem to start with as well as other factors.

just a small suggestion, but maybe you should have told your friend that you are not the person to help him with this job...(no rudeness intended)

They are old LCD based projectors though where the other two are both DLP.
 
Epson TW600, better then all of those mentioned and comes with a 3 year next day swapout warranty (including new bulbs!)

do these DLP's also suffer rainbow problems ? Thats what put me off DLP's before I could see them all the bloomin time when I moved my eyes across the screen.

Pretty good unit, but no better than the AE900 and more expensive. :)
