but when i go to error scan, and scan all of those drives for errors nothing comes up at all? not a single bad sector.

i also tried using windows checking utility, and seatools, and it said drive C were fine! (though seatool couldnt test E and F listed as scsi drives... dont know why....?)

does anyone know whats going on here? or is there any other HDD testing software i can use?

thanks in advanced!

What's the brand of your HDD? You might download the brand software and test for errors with it. They usually have the necessary options to check for errors, like DST Tests and so on.

just used seatools, my drive is seagate.

and C: failed long DTS. this is what i got:

Unfortunately, your Seagate product has failed an important diagnostic test, possibly caused by problem sectors which are difficult to read. Seagate recommends that you run SeaTools for DOS, which has the ability to repair most problem sectors. SeaTools for DOS may be able to save you from the inconvenience and down time of exchanging the drive. For more information on this subject see our online FAQ:

does this mean my drive is dying...? thanks.
