HD upgrade possibilities

I'm currently running Windows 7 on a c300 with some old 500gb and 250gb Hd's as extra storage and now looking to consolidate the data onto one 1tb drive.

I now need to find which 1TB drive is the best one given the O/S is on the SSD.

Are the 64mb cache HD's worth the extra along with the sata 3 connection?

Any tips would be welcome guys.

No and no.

64MB of cache makes bugger all difference over 32MB.

A mechanical HDD can't saturate the bandwidth on SATA 2 never mind SATA 3.

Just get one of these:

As he said, you don't get much better bang for buck than that, the only other alternative would be a western digital black for performance, or a blue
if your not looking for stellar performance
